One-dimensional 4-state planar Potts model with allowance for the interaction of next-nearest neighbors in a magnetic field

摘要
Exact solutions for a one-dimensional 4-state planar Potts model with allowance for the interaction of nearest and next-nearest neighbors in a magnetic field have been obtained in terms of the method of Kramers-Wannier transfer matrix. Thermodynamic quantities such as magnetization, magnetic susceptibility, and molar heat capacity have been analyzed as functions of temperature and magnetic field.
