Designing a manufacturing system requires modelling and performance evaluation techniques. To support this, a modelling method based on timed Petri nets is presented in this paper. A graphic construction of the net is achieved; transporting it into a specific mathematical formalism it is made, so that the Milled structure to be fully retrieved and used to bring out the internal dynamics of the model. The timed Petri net model is implemented in Petri Net Toolbox under MATLAB environment. There are determined the global performance indicators in order to evaluate the performance of the considered flexible manufacturing system.
