摘要：
Xenophon twice mentions an Arcadian named Nicarchus, a wounded soldier at 2.5.33 and a deserting officer at 3.3.5. Both passages may refer to the same man, although his wound must have been fatal. It is likely that the deserters carried Nicarchus with them, a testament to the emotional bonds between Greek soldiers.
