Heritage and identity on the border of history and memory

The article explores the relationship between history and memory, seeking to reveal the formation of identity and heritage. From a diverse literature review, of qualitative nature, the objective is to analyze the emergence of identities and heritage at the border between history and memory. Initially, it aims to understand how identities emerge in the frontier between history and memory, how this construction occurs, and what elements are involved. Next, it seeks to understand the identity born in this contact. Identifying heritage and its constitution, as well as its relationship with the formation of identities, fills the third stage of the work. We conclude that identity, as a social and historical construction, is the result of the intertwining of history and memory. The heritage, as a representative of the history and memory of a society, reflects its identity. The historical subject, from his memory and history, sees in the heritage his identity.
