Creep, shrinkage and elastic modulus of Self-Compacting Concrete

摘要
This article outlines an experimental and numerical study on creep and shrinkage of Self-Compacting Concrete, SCC. The study included eight mix compositions of sealed or air-cured specimens with water-cement ratio, w/c, varying between 0.27 and 0.80. Half of the mixes studied were based on Normal Concrete, NC (reference mixes). The age at loading varied between 2 and 90 days. Four different stress to strength levels, sigma /f(c), were studied. Parallel studies were performed on strength, f(c), and relative humidity, RH. The results show that creep, shrinkage and elastic modulus in SCC did not differ significantly from the same properties in NC. The ongoing study started in 1997.
