Biblios- Revista de Bibliotecologia y Ciencias de la Informacion: a decade of its scientific production

Objective. To investigate the profile and characteristics of a decade of scientific production and collaboration networks of the Revista de Bibliotecologia y Ciencias de la Informacion.Method. The techniques of bibliometrics and social network analysis were used.Results. Gregorio Jean Varvakis Rados and Leomar Jose Montilla Pena were the most fruitful researchers. The Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) was the most productive institution. Brazil was the country that stood out, through its institutions, with regard to the scientific production of articles in the international journal Biblios. And the most cited paper, which was published from 2011 to 2020, was the "Analisis bibliometrico sobre la produccion cientifica archivistica en la Red de Revistas Cientificas de America Latina y el Caribe (Redalyc) durante el periodo 2001-2011", with 63 quotes. With regard to social networks, the most central actors stood out: Gregorio Jean Varvakis Rados and Adilson Luiz Pinto in co-authorship networks. And the institutions: UFSC, University of Brasilia (UnB), Federal University of Paraiba (UFPB), Federal University of Sao Carlos (UFSCar), Federal University of Goias (UFG) and Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.Conclusions. The aforementioned research revealed the profile of the actors involved in the knowledge construction process, and, therefore, promoting a flow of exchange and connection of knowledge in the Information Science community, which was covered in this study carried out from the perspective of the journal. international Biblios.
