摘要
For treatment of midfacial retrusion in syndromic cranniosynostosis, Dual midfacial. distraction was performed for 6 clinical cases of syndromic craniosynostosis. Dual midfacial distraction constitutes upper portion of the maxilla: Le Fort III minus I and lower portion of the maxilla: Le Fort I portion. In order to achieve satisfactoryl distraction of the two portions, the combination of the internal and external distraction device was required. The internal device was used for the upper portion, and the external Halo distraction device was used for the lower portion. The amount of tdistraction ranged from 14-21 mm in the tipper half and from 11-18 mm in the lower half. Satidfactory results was obtained with 3-50 months follow up period.
