摘要
Polychrorinated biphenyls (PCBs) are persistent manmade chemicals. Their low chemical reactivity, low solubility in water and hydrophobicity are properties that cause resistance to microbial attack and negative effects in many organisms. However, these compounds have been shown to be biodegraded under a variety of conditions. The aim of this review is to summarise recent research results on PCB biodegradation by bacterial cultures under aerobic conditions and to show possible ways for the amendment of this process.
