On the estimation of residual stresses by the crack compliance method

摘要
The crack compliance method is a destructive experimental method used for the estimation of residual stress profiles in thick metal plates. simplifying assumptions, such as dimensional reduction, are generally used in applications of this method. The question of how the simplifying assumptions affect the estimated residual stresses is addressed in this paper. (c) 2007 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
