A New Method of Visual Training for Amblyopia Using Binocular Training and Virtual Reality

摘要
Amblyopia occurs in 2%-4% of the total population of children. Amblyopia can severely affect a child's life and learning. Therefore, early treatment or initial intervention is imperative. To make treatment more engaging and less discouraging, we developed a virtual reality game on the HTC Vive and Google Cardboard platforms to assist traditional treatment systems. Experimental results demonstrated that the proposed system can increase motivation in children with amblyopia and supplement traditional amblyopia therapy.
