摘要
This paper deals with the narrowband and wideband characterization of a vehicle-to-infrastructure channel at 5.8 GHz frequency for short distances. Measurements were carried out in Niter6i, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and the data were processed in order to analyze the coverage of the signal and some channel dispersion parameters. For such results, prediction models were fitted to the data besides the small-scale fading statistics and the analysis of mean and delay spread. The better fit to narrowband data was Log-Distance model. Rice distribution showed the best adherence to the small-scale variability and the maximum delay spread was 1.65 microseconds.
