摘要
Many organizations/enterprises have invested vast effort and money in legacy systems, and over the years these systems have become the core of the organizations/enterprises' different operating applications. However, computing technologies discontinue and new technologies emerge so that administrators of organizations/enterprises are forced to adapt their core computing system (legacy) with the improved technologies to survive in today's market. In this paper, we have examined the interface between two systems (legacy versus new) found in most financial institutions through Monte Carlo simulator to determine whether it is feasible to interface between these two systems. Our simulation results present the performance (throughput - number of financial queries per duration) between the proposed interface between a legacy system (IBM 9671-RA2) and new system (SUN V480 server). We have achieved an upper of 80% throughput during the entire working hours.
