The innovation of teaching methods and the material can better promote teachers' teaching ability and teaching quality can also stimulate students' interest in learning and learning effect, this article studies the application of game teaching method in children's swimming teaching situation and effect, USES the literature material method, experiment contrast method, mathematical statistics, the method of observation on the summer swimming training of children for a study of "game teaching method". The results show that the game teaching method in the swimming training is beneficial to overcome the children's psychological fear of water, to cultivate children's sense of water and familiar with water, conducive to the mutual interaction between students and the teaching interaction between the coaches. In the process of swimming teaching, the proper teaching as auxiliary teaching with games also helps to develop interest in swimming hobbies, enhance the enthusiasm of practice. So, the "game teaching method" in the children's swimming teaching is worth wide application.
