Microscopic mass formulas and the fission barriers of neutron-rich nuclei

摘要
We describe here our Hartree-Fock mass formulas, and also the ETFSI approximation to the HF method that made possible a calculation of the barriers of the nearly 2000 nuclei expected to be involved in the r-process, as well as of all measured barriers. We discuss the crucial impact of new mass data, which have radically modified the extrapolations to the neutron-drip line.
