摘要
In this paper, we describe a process for designing and generating test cases for automated testing. The process uses two types of modeling to create system-level functional test cases. Behavior modeling is used to capture important sequences of actions and responses to test; data modeling is used to manage the concrete test data values required to execute test cases in an automated fashion. The tools we provide process the models to generate test cases automatically. The maintenance costs of the test cases generated remain low because testers need only update the test models as the system under test changes. The tools can then be used to quickly and easily regenerate all test cases. This paper presents a detailed example of our test design and generation process and descriptions of the tools used to support the process.
