摘要
Since the empirical data of historical construction projects contain the gains and losses of the project management related to them, they are not only important but also valuable to the development of the following-up new projects. As we know, it is the character of the era of knowledge economy that requires the construction enterprises' organization must improve their competitiveness through managing the knowledge accumulated by the enterprises. Fortunately, empirical database system of historical construction projects can help us to accomplish this goal. The basic function of empirical database of historical construction projects can be briefly summarized by the steps as follows: Firstly, analyzing the constitution of the empirical data by utilizing the knowledge management theory; Secondly, establishing the certain product model to organize the data by employing the WBS; and finally converting it into conceptual model and data model to get ready for the utilization of DBMS. Moreover, the paper also makes some effort to discuss the problem concerning how to implement the DBMS by employing the WEB technology.
