摘要：
Orthodontic treatment in patients with cleft lip and palate takes long time from childhood to adulthood. However, there is little information about the patient's anticipation before treatment and their opinions after treatment. Meanwhile, the patient volume in individual center is not large in Japan Therefore. we conducted a questionnaire investigation in patients with unilateral cleft lip and palate (UCLP) after active orthodontic treatment as a multi-center study, This study showed UCLP patients tend to anticipate aesthetic improvement for the orthodontic treatment and orthodontic treatment also had positive effect in speech, but some differences were found among centers.
