摘要
The objective of this study is to examine the current situation and determine the factors affecting the social acceptance of autonomous vehicles (AVs) in Japan. This study used data of approximately 20,300 samples collected from multiple surveys. The results clarified the following aspects: 1) in cases where the usage frequency and service using AVs as public transport were disclosed while questioning, the correlation and consistency between the "pros and cons" and "intention to use" become stronger; 2) social acceptance of AVs is affected by "intention to use," gender, recognition of AVs demonstration experiment, population density in descending order; and 3) based on the results of this study, some policies to improve social acceptance of AVs were proposed.
