Cycle time improvement for a human resources process

This presentation will discuss how Six Sigma was applied to improve cycle time for an employee's application for long-term disability benefits. This process was selected because the process owner was receiving customer complaints; the process's performance was not meeting customer expectations. The process starts at the time the application is sent to the benefit provider until an "accept" or "deny" decision is delivered. How Six Sigma was used with a third-party benefit supplier will also be discussed.
