摘要
Wind energy is a source of economic energy, clean and inexhaustible. In this work we describe the different types of turbines and generators that exist in the literature and their models. In the next, we give the advantages and disadvantages for each type and their uses. To take advantage of the wind energy, different controllers must be used such as the pitch angle control to save the elements of the wind system during high wind speeds and the maximum power point tracking control to extract the maximum of power. A comparison between several methods has been made based on the efficiency of the controller, its complexity and speed of convergence.
