Fractionation of stable sulfur isotopes in hydromorphic saline soils and its role as an indicator of reducing processes

摘要
The distribution of stable sulfur isotopes in various hydromorphic soil profiles has been studied. The reduction in the soil profile is expressed as an appreciable enrichment of reduced sulfide of the light S-32 isotope and concomitant enrichment of residual sulfate of the heavy S-32 isotope. The distribution of stable sulfur isotopes is characterized by a specific structure that bears information on the direction of motion and transformation of sulfur compounds.
