Composite electroweak scalars and the LEP2 W-pair data

We analyse the LEP2 sigma(tot)(e(+)e(-)-->W+W-) data within an electroweak scenario that does respect the global SU(2)(L) symmetry and that is characterized by quantum-mechanical vector-scalar superposition within a compositeness scheme. Born-level unitarity holds true both in the case of the SU(2)(L)-gauge type of the gamma/Z-WW coupling as well as in the electromagnetic limit of the parameter K Of this VVV-coupling. We find that, after correcting the Born-level predictions for the radiative processes, the compositeness scheme of vector-scalar superposition can be in good agreement with the data even for the electromagnetic limit. The results are compared with the sigma(tot) calculations in the Standard Model.
