The beggining of the nuclear era is considered to be the end of the Second World War when the United States launched two nuclear bombs on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The American President J. F. Kennedy stated in 1963:, I am haunted by the feeling that by 1970, unless we are successful, there may be 10 nuclear powers instead of 4, and by 1975, 15 or 20 '', and these words indicate the general fear felt by mankind in front of the evolutions in the nuclear energy field. From this perspective, it is essential to analyze some cases of state nuclear proliferation, namely India, Pakistan and North Korea, as these are not only some of the most debated ones but also the most problematic ones for international security.
