Space-time filtering with suppression of asynchronous co-channel interference

摘要
The problem of suppression of asynchronous co-channel interference (CCI) is classified as a "threshold" problem where even a small amount of additional information about the part of the CCI without overlapping with the training sequence of the desired signal can significantly improve the performance. A training-like extension of the training sequence can be applied in this kind of problem. The known structure of a timeslot is exploited to select the appropriate positions of information symbols which can be used as the training-like ones. The estimation algorithms based on the training-like approach are proposed. The efficiency is demonstrated by means of simulations in a GSM system.
