Experimental study on the influence of the crest width on the deformation of submerged breakwater

摘要
Design method in case that deformation is permitted has been investigated for rubble mound breakwaters recently. This paper describes the deformation of submerged breakwaters to investigate the process of the collapse and to establish the design procedure in case that the deformation is permitted. Classification of deformation. change in crest heights, influence of core on deformation, quantification of deformation and change in hydraulic performances are discussed based on the results of two-dimensional experiments. There was a large difference in the deformed crest heights among the submerged breakwaters with different crest widths.
