Use of a miniplate for skeletal anchorage in the treatment of a severely impacted mandibular second molar

摘要：
A 19-year-old girl presented with a severely impacted left mandibular second molar. After the surgical-orthodontic assessment, skeletal anchorage with a miniplate was adopted to keep the impacted tooth upright. The treatment went smoothly and was successful. We conclude that the miniplate as skeletal anchorage is effective in the management of severely impacted mandibular second molars. (C) 2007 The British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
