Intrusive growth in woody plants

This paper describes intrusive growth that occurs during cells differentiation in woody plants. It is also appeared during development of vascular cambium. The cases of intrusive growth are observed during growth of the tips of the cambial cells initials, elongation of fibers, sclereids and laticifers as well as tyloses formation. However, during intrusive growth the cells enlrage size to be longer passing between the walls of other cells and disrupt structure of the middle lamella no wound responsese are initiated.
