We have previously isolated human single-chain Fv antibodies specific to human FcepsilonRI alpha-chain (FceRIa) using human antibody phage display libraries. One of the selected human scFvs, RE51 (formerly described as FcRepsilon-51: Ref. 1), inhibited IgE-mediated histamine release. In this study, we determined the binding epitope of RE51 using two random peptide-phage display libraries.
