Russian oil&gas complex: current status and prospects for XXI century

The paper deals with questions of enhancing, preserving and effective using petroleum potential of Russia as the bare for petroleum industry working. The author suggests carrying out active exploration of high-productive petroleum pools in various promising stages including the Paleozoic of West Siberia. Re-evaluation of residual reserver is recommended as well as specification of the percentage of active and difficult to extract ones. The need of developing new managing principles for field exploration and exploitation on base of fractal modeling is substantiated. The author offers to organize scientific-technological and producing training grounds and a Fund to save petroleum industry of Russia formed with assignments from oil and gas organizations and companies.
