Public policy update - The Institute of Medicine report

Through its Public Program staff based in Washington, D.C., the American Foundation for AIDS Research (AmFAR) builds support for sound HIV/AIDS- related policies. Jane Silver, M.P.H., formerly Associate Director for Program of the National Commission on AIDS, heads the program. The following update focuses on an Institute of Medicine study and report commissioned by Congress, on the allocation of research funds by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
