Influence of planter operating speed on the cabbage inter-row plant spacing

摘要
The research objective was to determine the influence of operating speed on achieving the set inter-row plant spacing. Research was carried out while planting cabbage seedlings using a planter with traps mounted oil an endless chain. Research results indicate that increased operating speed increases the inter-row plant spacing (from 37.9 to 41.4 cm). The planter did not meet the technical requirements regarding the set inter-row plant spacing at any of the tested speeds. The key factors influencing the achievement of the set plant spacing are the operating speed, seedlings condition, planter status and the planter's skill. Since cabbage seedlings vary in height and thickness, they should be sorted before planting. Obtained results are contributed to the quality of the cabbage planting precision in expert practice.
