摘要
Commercially pure titanium (CP-Ti) TA2 samples were subjected to thermal oxidation treatment at different temperatures. The surface phase characteristics, surface micro-hardness, wear resistance and corrosion resistance in 36%-38% HCl were investigated. The results show that rutile TiO2 coating was formed on the surface after thermal-oxidation; the depth of TiO2 layer and the surface micro-hardness increased with the temperatures. In addition, the wear resistance and corrosion resistance in 36%-38% HCl increased significantly after thermal oxidation, which offers the optimum wear resistance and corrosion resistance after thermal oxidation at 700 degrees C.
