Transport properties of YBa2Cu3O7 and NdBa2Cu3O7 films prepared on textured Ag tapes

摘要
We obtained the {100}(001) textured Ag tape with both a good biaxial crystal orientation and a smooth surface, by precise control of the rolling process parameters. On this {100}(001) textured Ag tape, YBa2Cu3O7 (Y-123) and NdBa2Cu3O7 (Nd-123) films were deposited by using a pulsed laser deposition method. "Y - 123/Nd - 123/{100}(001) textured Ag tape" sample had both good biaxial orientation and smooth surface, as a result, relatively high J(c) of 0.57 x 10(6) A/cm(2) at 77 K in self field was achieved. Present J(c) value is not competitive comparing with the other techniques for coated conductors (CC), such as IBAD or RABiTS, however, it is very promising. We believe that the J(c) of CC using {100}(00 1) textured Ag tapes will increase after optimizing the Y-123 deposition process.
