ECONOMIC CRISIS COORDINATES. PARTICULARITIES FOR ROMANIA

This paper examines how the economic - financial crisis appeared and how it developed at a national and an international level. Once triggering factors are identified, with the help of an analysis method its forms of manifestation as well as its effects on some of the basic fields of the economy will be established. The global financial crisis turned into an economic one and Romania greatly experiences its effects. Among these, stints of several companies or even bankruptcy with nefarious consequences on employees' and state's revenues. Since Romania is part of the European economic-financial space, partner countries must be related to when fighting with a feared phenomenon "the financial crisis". EU's cohesion policy is meant to increase economic growth and social development as well as short, medium and long term stimulation of the economy, a fact that can greatly contribute the surpassing of the present-day financial crisis and the redressing of EU member states and regions, including those permanently disadvantaged.
