摘要
This study uses 70 climate water balance simulations at the one-kilometre scale under two climate scenarios for Germany. Climate change leads to longer-lasting hot spells, so water demand and peak water releases will increase in the future. Groundwater recharge increases with increasing global warming in Germany. While changes in the climate protection scenario RCP2.6 are moderate and stabilize by mid-century, both groundwater recharge and heat indicators continue to increase until the end of the century in the business-as-usual scenario RCP8.5.
