摘要
The requirements and design process of digital city (DC) application, which are based on the geographic information system (GIS), have been analyzed by the Unified Modeling Language (UML) and other CASE tools. The UML is one of the most commonly used technologies for analyzing and expressing software requirements. Considerably, UML overcomes ambiguity limitation which results from infamous shortcoming of national language. However, how to express requirements and design of DC Application on GIS is still a very challenging problem. In this paper, requirement analysis is investigated by IBM Rational Rose and Microsoft Visio, and then typical use cases, activity diagrams, and data flow diagrams are presented in details. At the end, the user interfaces of DC application are also displaced.
