摘要
The phase relationship in the Al-Zn-RE (RE = Ho, Er) ternary systems at 450 A degrees C have been investigated by using the diffusion couple technique and key samples. The phase identification was carried out mainly by means of scanning electron microscopy with energy dispersive spectrometry and x-ray diffraction. Four ternary compounds, Ho3Zn4.35Al6.65, HoZn5Al3, Er3Zn4.35Al6.65 and ErZn5Al3 were confirmed. Large amount of Al substituting for Zn in the RE-Zn compounds was observed.
