Synthesis and properties of gadolinium-doped ceria electrolyte powders

摘要
Ce0.8Gd0.2O1.9(GDC)electrolyte powders were synthesized by glycine-nitrate process (GNP) in this study. The ionic conductivity of about 0.047 S.cm(-1)(700 degrees C) was measured by ac impedance spectra. Green sheet of GDC/YSZ/NiO-YSZ fabricated by complex tape casting process, was pre-fired at 1 250 degrees C for 2 h, and then fired at 1 000 degrees C for 2 h after the La0.8Sr0.2F0.8Co0.2O3 (LSCF) cathode layer was screen printed onto the GDC surface. Flat and crack free positive-electrolyte-negative (PEN) structures were obtained via such process.
