摘要
Current-perpendicular-to-plane giant-magnetoresistance effect in a ferromagnetic/nonmagnetic multilayer is studied theoretically by solving the diffusion equation of the spin accumulation without assuming the periodic boundary condition. We show that the Valet and Fert theory underestimates spin asymmetries with decreasing the number of layers. (C) 2011 American Institute of Physics. [doi: 10.1063/1.3531758]
