摘要
A new design of an electrochemical cylindrical cell for in-situ Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) studies of lithium-ion batteries is introduced for better practicality and NMR sensitivity. Details of the cell design and its assembly are described. Discharge and charge tests on C-graphite electrodes illustrate the good functioning and durability of the cell. The large sample volume capacity enables to acquire NMR spectra with very good quality. To demonstrate the application, we report here the results of in-situ P-31 NMR on a Cu3P electrode. This study represents the first P-31 in-situ NMR investigation of a lithium-ion battery. (C) 2011 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
