Data model of information management system in Croatian higher education in the function of economic development and integration processes of the Republic of Croatia under conditions of digital economy

Information is the basis of any rational decision-making. Given the ubiquity of digital economy in the modem world, this implies the creation of relevant information management systems based on quality models of databases in the function of decision-making. In the dynamic transition processes and turbulent conditions caused by the advancing digital era, Croatian higher education is faced with the problem of information insufficiency. Projects of generating information management systems aimed at solving this problem have been initiated at the level of the Ministry of Science. By modelling the structure of Croatian higher education, including the information on institutions of higher education, teaching staff, courses, projects, and technical equipment, it is possible to create a basis for rational decision-making in defining educational processes that can train people capable of joining in the era of digital economy with their professional and scientific background.
