The Exploration of Computer-Aided College English Translation Teaching

Many colleges and universities in China, where a traditional teaching model has been adopted in English classes, haven't placed enough emphasis on college English translation teaching and made an overall plan in a systemic way, despite its significance in college English teaching. Due to the lack of directed translation training, non-English majors' translating abilities are constrained in a poor level. Through a computer-aided college English translation teaching model, students were guided to apply specific strategies to solve different translation problems so as to acquire translating abilities. It proved the efficiency of the model and probed into the planning of college English translation course, the teachers' guidance and the students' participation. Unless they act with united strength, will the problems in the college English translation teaching be worked out.
