Generalized Approach to Modelling Architecture of Transaction Processing Information Systems

The article presents a generalized approach to transaction processing information systems structure designing that is applicable for various data domains, since the abovementioned approach is not oriented and does not describe any specific object classes or business processes. The paper describes the relationship between the data domain and the architecture of the information system it is developed for. The authors proposed a conceptual model of the transaction processing information system, consisting of normative, operation, and resulting information. These definitions are explained, as well as their role and functions in the system. A three-layer model of information system architecture is presented. The diagram of the data flow between system layers and components is also given.
