The Status of On-board and Ground Time Management System of QZSS

摘要
In Japanese Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) project, the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology, Japan (NICT) is in charge of the time management system. NICT developed the engineering model (EM) of the on-board equipments and tested its performance. A small and light-weighted microstrip band path filter (BPF) is proposed for the bent pipe function. The ground system, consisting of time management stations (TMS),, monitor stations and related software was designed in detail. One of the overseas monitor stations, which possesses Two-way Satellite Time and Frequency Transfer (TWSTFT) function, was decided to be installed on Kauai island in Hawaii. The first QZSS satellite will be launched in 2010 and be used for experiments.
