摘要
A review and comparison are given of localized (soliton-like) structures with nonzero topological index in the two types of nonlinear optical systems: (i) homogeneous medium with nonlinearity of refractive index (conservative system), and (ii) wide-aperture laser with saturable absorption (dissipative system).
