摘要
A great deal of research focuses on foreign language anxiety (FLA). Though it is widely perceived as an obvious factor in foreign language learning, many of the conclusions reached are inconsistent. Nevertheless, most of the research has proven the debilitating effects of FLA on foreign language competence and performance. Apart from recent attempts to test the effectiveness of FLA-reducing strategies, an empirical work with sound comparative and longitudinal aspects testing the effectiveness of such strategies is yet to be written. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to summarize and interpret the most relevant research findings on FLA-coping strategies to date.
