How cold are HD+ molecular ions cooled in storage rings?

摘要
The theoretical study of the dissociative recombination of HD+ with electrons of energies up to 13 eV was performed, using the multichannel quantum defect approach, taking into account the contribution of all the relevant series of dissociative states and the effect of the dissociative autoionization. It is shown that the correlation between theoretical and experimental results allows the estimation of the vibrational distribution of the target molecular ions.
