Determination of the enthalpy of fusion of K2NbF7 and K3NbF8

摘要
On the basis of the areas of the fusion and crystallization peaks of K2NbF7 and K3NbF8 determined using the DSC mode of the high-temperature calorimeter (SETARAM 1800 K), and the temperature dependence of the calorimetric method sensitivity, the values of the enthalpy of fusion of K2NbF7 at equilibrium temperature of fusion 1008 K: Delta(fus)H(m)(K2NbF7) = (38 +/- 1) kJ mol(-1) and the enthalpy of fusion of K3NbF8 at equilibrium temperature of fusion 1043 K: Delta(fus)H(m)(K3NbF8) = (57 +/- 2) kJ mol(-1) have been determined.
