This work concerns the effects of tides and waves inside a sandy beach, near the swash zone. In this paper, we focus on forced oscillations in the unsaturated beach under various hypotheses. The sand column is submerged periodically at the top. It is partially saturated / partially unsaturated, and highly transient. The vertical movement of water in the sand column is studied. The effect of the periodic arrival of waves in the "swash" zone is represented by a periodic pressure forcing at the top of the column. The results are presented for two different heights of the column, corresponding to two different depths of the water table.
