Optical Feedback Effects on The Relative Intensity Noise of a Mid-Infrared Quantum Cascade Laser

摘要
We experimentally demonstrate that the relative intensity noise of a quantum cascade laser is insensitive to optical feedback. The feedback induced noise variation is less than 2.5 dB up to a feedback ratio of 31%. Rate equation analysis agrees well with the experimental observation.
